How It Works

Make an appointment online to receive a one-hour coaching session with a professional from within our community. The one-hour time slot allows for you and your coach to discuss different aspects of your career journey and spend extra time on any specific area you want the most help with. Every appointment includes

  • Resume Assistance – Your career coach will spend time discussing your work history and skills to either help you create a resume or improve your current one to represent your best self to your future employer.
  • Interview Practice – Our career coaches are primed to help you get comfortable in an interview setting and will help you with everything from body language to navigating how to answer common interview questions.
  • Career Counseling & Advice – For the entire hour, your coach’s primary goal is to help you feel as prepared as possible to begin your career journey. Whatever obstacles, questions, or concerns you have, your coach is there to help you navigate them.
  • An Interview-Ready Outfit – Before every appointment, our volunteers pre-select a starting outfit for you to try on, and you have full access to our career closet to find the outfit you feel most confident in.
  • A Professional Headshot – Once you find your outfit, your career coach will take a professional headshot for you to use on your LinkedIn, resume, or other social media platforms.

We have many open spots for volunteers in our Alpharetta Career Connection Center. Finding a Job:

Looking for a job can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. Below is a list of the most popular job posting sites and some tips about how to use them.

In The Meantime:

While you check job listings for your ideal job, you don’t have to rely on services like Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc. for income. You can almost always find a position in food service (restaurants), retail, grocery stores, and even distribution centers, in your local area. If you don’t know where to start, check out Amazon and your local Kroger, Publix, and Walmart locations, who are almost always hiring.
