Build Your
Career Confidence

Book an Appointment

At Career Connection Center, we equip youth and young adults struggling to find their footing on their career journey with tools to succeed. Our dedicated career coaches provide resume assistance, interview skill-building, professional clothing, and career advice.

Our ultimate goal: Career Confidence.

How It Works

Make an appointment online to receive a one-hour coaching session with a professional from within our community. The one-hour time slot allows for you and your coach to discuss different aspects of your career journey and spend extra time on any specific area you want the most help with. Every appointment includes

  • Resume Assistance – Your career coach will spend time discussing your work history and skills to either help you create a resume or improve your current one to represent your best self to your future employer.
  • Interview Practice – Our career coaches are primed to help you get comfortable in an interview setting and will help you with everything from body language to navigating how to answer common interview questions.
  • Career Counseling & Advice – For the entire hour, your coach’s primary goal is to help you feel as prepared as possible to begin your career journey. Whatever obstacles, questions, or concerns you have, your coach is there to help you navigate them.
  • An Interview-Ready Outfit – Before every appointment, our volunteers pre-select a starting outfit for you to try on, and you have full access to our career closet to find the outfit you feel most confident in.
  • A Professional Headshot – Once you find your outfit, your career coach will take a professional headshot for you to use on your LinkedIn, resume, or other social media platforms.

Get Involved

We accept gently used career clothing (suits, blouses, dresses, dress shirts, dress shoes, heels, etc.), new socks and undershirts, padfolios, briefcases, belts, jewelry, mens watches, and other accessories. Drop-offs are at our main office in downtown Lawrenceville, and we’re open Monday-Thursday 10am-5pm.

2555 Northwinds Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009

We have many open spots for volunteers in our Alpharetta Career Connection Center. If you have ever had a job, had an interview, written a resume, and put on a professional outfit, you are qualified to be one of our amazing career coaches. We also have volunteer opportunities for sorting donations and pulling outfits for upcoming appointments.

In The Meantime:

While you check job listings for your ideal job, you don’t have to rely on services like Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc. for income. You can almost always find a position in food service (restaurants), retail, grocery stores, and even distribution centers, in your local area. If you don’t know where to start, check out Amazon and your local Kroger, Publix, and Walmart locations, who are almost always hiring.
